Video is still king when it comes to social media content.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re thinking of creating any kind of content for your socials, video is probably the way to go. Videos aren\u2019t just reserved for TikTok or YouTube in 2025; you\u2019ll see video content absolutely everywhere (including LinkedIn), so it\u2019s time to get with the program or get left behind.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"long-form-content-is-back\">Long-Form Content Is Back<\/h2>\n<p>Whilst TikTok is still all the rage, the short and sweet 30-second videos we\u2019re accustomed to seeing on there are becoming fewer and farther between. Whilst typically shorter videos equalled better engagement rates, we\u2019re seeing a switch-up in the types of content our favourite creators are making.<\/p>\n<p>Long-form videos are back in a big way, with TikTok allowing videos of up to 10 minutes on the platform, we\u2019re seeing long-form storytime content surging in popularity in the first half of the year. Gone are the days when the shorter and sharper the video, the better, viewers now want longer, more authentic content that gives them a better feel for the creators&#8217; lives outside the apps.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"you-have-to-know-how-to-read-the-digital-room\">You Have To Know How To Read The (Digital) Room<\/h2>\n<p>When it comes to social media platforms like TikTok, the primary audiences consuming content are typically Millennials, Gen Zers or even younger. If you\u2019re a brand making content on social media in 2025, you\u2019re making it for an audience that has more than likely been on the internet for most of their lives (or their adult lives at least). Social media users want to feel like they\u2019re part of your brand, so creating authentic and real content is still the key to success in 2025.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"use-ai-wisely\">Use AI (Wisely)<\/h2>\n<p>Don\u2019t worry, we aren\u2019t about to tell you to use AI to create content or creatives (that will always need a human touch), but we are here to tell you that it can automate a lot of the tasks we may not want to do on our brand\u2019s social media accounts.<\/p>\n<p>You can use it to help you flesh out ideas, streamline reporting, or keep in touch with the most viral trends without having to be on your phone 24\/7.
